Abstract Deforestation is a major threat to global environmental wellness, with illegal logging as one of the causes. Recently, there has been increased effort model crime, goal assisting law enforcement agencies in deterring these activities. We present continuous for applicable arbitrary domains. practice criminals under influence using tools from multiobjective optimal control theory and consider non-instantaneous events load-dependent travel velocity. calibrate our real deforestation data Brazilian rainforest demonstrate importance geographically targeted patrol strategies.
